About the position

As an Underwriting Analyst - Financial Collections within PNC's Financial Statement Collectors Group, you will play a crucial role in the collection and verification of financial statements and loan documentation for a large portfolio within the Commercial Banking & Credit Group. This position is remote and can be based in Dallas, Texas, Cleveland, Ohio, or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial documentation, which is essential for the underwriting process. While this role does not involve actual loan underwriting, it supports the underwriting function through various analytical tasks. In this position, you will be responsible for completing basic due diligence, document processing, and financial/statistical analysis under direct supervision. You will assist in preparing business cases for credit approval, although you will not have credit approval authority. Your tasks will include reviewing relevant forms, providing analysis, and ordering reports to support the underwriting process. You will also perform basic financial analysis, such as cash flow and collateral analysis, and respond to internal and external customer inquiries. Responsibilities

  • Complete basic due diligence and document processing in support of the underwriting function.
  • Assist in the preparation of business cases for credit approval, without having credit approval authority.
  • Perform basic financial analysis, including cash flow and collateral analysis.
  • Review relevant forms and provide analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of information and documents.
  • Research and respond to internal and external customer questions and inquiries.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of experience in collecting financial statements.
  • Understanding of financial statements and loan documentation.
  • Detail orientation and strong attention to accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel).
