About the position

The Underwriting Associate at Chubb plays a crucial role in the Commercial Insurance sector by contributing to corporate goals related to growth, profit, renewal retention, and service management. This position involves gathering and analyzing account information to develop underwriting recommendations and pricing strategies, while also ensuring compliance with state regulations. The role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring presence in the office three days a week and allowing remote work for two days.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze account information including loss information, driver information, financials, and loss control reports to develop underwriting recommendations and pricing strategy.
• Complete, document, and refer risk reports to underwriters.
• Coordinate account processing for renewals with underwriters and customer service representatives.
• Provide rating and issuance instructions including appropriate forms, coverages, and final premium.
• Review submission information with underwriters and prepare quote letters.
• Document underwriting analysis information in the electronic file, ensuring electronic file integrity.
• Adhere to state regulated compliance requirements and work to resolve issues.
• Process endorsements within designated authority.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills.
• Organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Math aptitude and familiarity with reference manuals and regulatory agencies.
