About the position

The Specialty Insurance Client Service Team at AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting external agents, internal Underwriters, and other disciplines as required. This team is dedicated to providing high-quality and innovative support to agents' end users nationwide. The communication with agents is primarily conducted via email, distinguishing this role from traditional call center environments. The mission of the Specialty Insurance Client Services Support Team is to serve as the single point of contact for agent users, ensuring that their needs are met efficiently and effectively. In this position, the Underwriting Business Systems Analyst will provide both analytical and administrative support to the Client Services Support Analysts Team. This involves troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues and operational challenges faced by agents. The analyst will implement policies and procedures as set forth by the Client Services Operations Manager and collaborate with project teams and senior business analysts to ensure that product and application development within the rating systems aligns with the end users' needs. A key responsibility will be to ensure that final deliverables meet project specifications and requirements, while maintaining professional interactions with both external clients and internal business partners. This role is hybrid in nature, operating within both the Specialty Program and E&S (Excess and Surplus) divisions of the company. The analyst will be responsible for maintaining various infrastructure elements, periodicals, manuals, and policy documents, ensuring they are updated as necessary. Additionally, the analyst will track and maintain all reported issues and requests received in shared inboxes, manage user rights credential provisioning, and contribute to other assigned tasks, demonstrating a proactive approach to their work.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that various appropriate infrastructure elements, periodicals, manuals, policy documents, etc. are maintained and updated as necessary
  • Track and maintain all reported issues and requests that are received in shared Inbox(s)
  • Manage and maintain user rights credential provisioning and communication
  • Contribute to and take ownership of all additional tasks that are assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to thrive in a structured environment by utilizing organizational skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft processing software tools
  • Highly analytical and possesses critical thinking skills
  • Possesses good written and oral communication skills via multiple different communication channels
  • Highly proficient in multi-tasking and workload management
  • Displays good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well in a team-based environment
  • Ability to adapt in an exciting, fast-paced environment with the potential for unpredictable deadlines and shifting priorities
  • A driven and motivated individual who takes initiative and is eager to learn within the small commercial insurance space
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience preferred
