About the position

The Underwriting Support Services Credit Analyst at Renasant Bank is responsible for providing commercial credit and financial analysis to support various underwriting channels. This role involves evaluating credit information, preparing financial analyses, and assisting in lending decisions for new and existing loans. The analyst will work independently and collaboratively to ensure high-quality production and adherence to loan policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop credit information for underwriting channels to assist in lending decisions.
• Use a checklist to verify all necessary financial information for loan requests.
• Communicate with lending and credit staff to obtain missing information.
• Evaluate credit, collateral, and financial data carefully.
• Prepare financial spreads, global cash flows, and real estate models.
• Assist with written guarantor analysis and Relationship Credit Reviews.
• Monitor financial indicator covenants and manage pipeline workflow.
• Ensure high-quality production and turnaround standards are met.
• Assume ownership of assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Participate in projects under the direction of senior credit and lending staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of Commercial Underwriting experience or 5 years of applicable banking/lending experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements for risk evaluation.
• Knowledge of different collateral loan types and LTV calculations.
• Ability to identify various commercial loan types and purposes.
• Experience analyzing tax returns and financial statements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to use a financial calculator for loan payments and calculations.
