About The Position

We are seeking a remote Software QA Analyst for a 1+ year project focused on enhancing the state's unemployment insurance system. The role involves working on a multi-year project to replace existing systems with modern technologies and platforms. The position allows for 100% remote work with occasional travel to client sites, and candidates must have prior experience with State government and Unemployment Insurance Systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a similar field.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance for Unemployment Insurance Systems.
  • Strong understanding of the Unemployment Insurance Program.
  • Experience in conducting quality assurance on Unemployment Insurance Systems.
  • Proficient in Agile or hybrid Agile methodologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Quality Assurance lifecycle process.
  • Knowledge in SOAP UI and POSTMAN.
  • Experience in testing applications built on Salesforce, AWS, or Mainframe technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build working relationships with peers and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with QA team Lead and client Manager(s) to ensure quality assurance standards are met throughout the SDLC.
  • Design and develop comprehensive test scenarios, test cases/scripts, and detailed execution steps that are understandable to peer-testers and clients.
  • Create and maintain Quality Assurance artifacts such as Testing Standards, Test Plans, and Test Execution Metrics.
  • Execute various levels of testing, including Integration testing, System Testing, System Acceptance, and Regression testing.
  • Document incidents/defects using Jira or HP-ALM software and validate after defect resolution.
  • Work with test peers and client technicians to create test data, execute tests, and maintain test scripts.
  • Review test scripts for completeness and accuracy.
  • Participate in product design discussions and provide input on functional requirements.
