About the position

The Unification Specialist at Tactis LLC is responsible for facilitating family reunification for minors in the care of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. This role involves direct interaction with minors and their families, ensuring effective communication and coordination to advance the reunification process. The position requires a compassionate approach to crisis intervention and the ability to handle complex situations involving traumatized or behavioral minors.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, coordinate, and maintain direct contact with minors and their families during the reunification process.
  • Work closely with the Program Director, Unification Manager, and Clinical Services to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and care providers involved in the Unaccompanied Children Program.
  • Handle crisis intervention and complex people situations with compassion and decisiveness.
  • Document and report on the progress of family reunification efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related Behavioral Science field.
  • At least 3 months of experience in case or unification work.
  • Proven ability to handle crisis intervention and complex situations involving minors.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Experience working with traumatized or exploited minors.
  • Strong communication skills.
