As a Unified Communications Specialist at GDIT, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our unified communications platform, with a primary focus on the migration and adoption of Microsoft Teams. Your expertise will be crucial in solving some of our clients' most significant challenges, ensuring that our communications systems are efficient, reliable, and aligned with business needs. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Teams environments, which includes configuration, customization, and integration with other systems. You will provide technical expertise and support for various communication platforms such as Skype for Business, Jabber, Cisco CMS, and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems. Your efforts will ensure seamless intercommunication between these platforms, enhancing collaboration across the organization. Collaboration is key in this position; you will work closely with IT teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and deliver solutions that meet business objectives. You will also conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and performance of unified communications systems. Documentation is another critical aspect of your role, as you will develop and maintain system configurations, processes, and procedures. Additionally, you will train end-users on the effective use of unified communications tools and platforms, monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement necessary optimizations and upgrades.
