Job Description: Union Engineer Job ID 188999 Posted 23-Oct-2024 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Data Centers, Engineering/Maintenance Location(s) Springfield - Illinois - United States of America About the role Uses sophisticated skills to perform complex preventive maintenanceand corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles,equipment and grounds. Working under limited supervision, monitorsbuilding system operations and performance. Applies several tradeskills such as plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling. What you'll do Aligns with all applicable codes, regulations, governmentalagency and Company directives related to building operations andwork safety. Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, andplumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within designcapabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed byclient. Coordinates and inspects the work performed by outsidecontractors. Contracted work includes landscaping, snow removal,remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning. Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventivemaintenance. Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additionalassistance as needed. What you'll need High school diploma or GED and a minimum of four years ofrelated experience or trade school training. Universal CFC certification preferred. Certifications/licensesas may be required by local or state jurisdictions. Uses computer or PDA for work order system, email, ESS andtraining. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physicalrequirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs /ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. ormore.
