About the position

At ArborLine Consulting, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence in Utility Pre-Inspection, Emergency Coordination Response, and vegetation management consulting. As a sister company to ArborWorks, we focus on optimizing utility asset reliability and safety. Our mission is to ensure compliance and promote seamless essential service operation. We are currently seeking TRAQ Certified Arborists (VMI/SVMI) for our Stockton division, specifically for PG&E's Focused Tree Inspection (FTI) program. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our utility services and ensuring that our vegetation management practices meet the highest standards. The position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about arboriculture and eager to contribute to a team that values precision and reliability. As a Union Vegetation Management Inspector, you will be responsible for coordinating with homeowners, explaining the work to be performed, and addressing any concerns they may have. You will also assist the General Foreperson with crew paperwork and other tasks as needed. This role demands excellent organizational skills, strong customer service abilities, and the capacity to work independently while managing a geographical area for all vegetation-related activities. The job is full-time, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week, and may require working 7 days a week, including weekends. Responsibilities

  • Check and understand parcel information.
  • Coordinate with homeowners to explain what work will be performed on their property.
  • Arrange in-person meetings to discuss timelines and work to be performed.
  • Listen to customer concerns and make necessary notes and changes.
  • Flag work to enhance the efficiency of tree crews.
  • Assist the General Foreperson with crew paperwork and documentation.
  • Support the General Foreperson with miscellaneous tasks as requested.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated and production-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a geographical area for vegetation-related activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with stakeholders, utility customers, and line clearance vendors.
  • Multi-tasking and strong time management skills required.
  • Ability to work in varied terrain and inclement weather.
  • Tree Risk Assessment Qualifications (TRAQ).
  • Vegetation Management Experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Experience with Integrated Data Collection Software (Field Maps, OneVM).
  • Willingness to temporarily relocate to Stockton, CA.
