We are currently seeking a Mold Setter to join our team in Canal Winchester, OH. As a Mold Setter, you will be responsible for performing mold and material changes, starting up and shutting down presses, and ensuring that preventative maintenance on tooling and machines is completed according to documented work instructions. You will also be tasked with cleaning grinders, dryers, and blenders, preparing materials, mixing concentrates, and delivering materials to molding presses. Additionally, you will fill out material logs, ensure that all locking material bins are functioning properly, and transfer materials from the RMSTA FIFO material rack. You will need to answer press alarms and back up the Team Leader and Machine Operators as needed. It is crucial that you ensure equipment processes and product quality meet documented internal standards and assist associates with day-to-day issues. Following the documented TS16949 quality system related to manufacturing functions is also a key responsibility. This position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in plastic injection molding. Candidates should have completed Paulson training (disk 1-4) and must understand the concept of “Critical Parts.” Familiarity with Nifco Basic Molding PowerPoint presentations and hands-on proper mold safety setup is essential. Technical knowledge of injection molding processes, machines, tooling, materials, and molding techniques is required, along with the completion of all molding grade level testing. Effective communication skills in English are necessary, as well as the ability to train and motivate others positively. A forklift certification is required, which will be provided by Nifco. Candidates must also be able to lift 60 lbs and work on their feet for 12 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mold and material changes

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
