About the position

Johnson Controls is currently hiring for Entry-Level Unit Assemblers for our 1st shift! This is a great role to get your foot in the door for long-term opportunities with a great company. As a Unit Assembler, you will be responsible for mounting, aligning, positioning, and assembling a variety of parts and components, such as frames, compressors, fan assemblies, control boxes, coils, panels, motors, nuts, bolts, rivets, and adhesives, to completely assemble comfort units. You will work from blueprints and verbal instructions provided by your Supervisor, ensuring that each unit is assembled accurately and efficiently. In addition to assembly tasks, you will perform a variety of packaging operations necessary to pack comfort units and parts for shipment. This includes enclosing the units with required tags, instructions, warranties, and sealing them with packaging tools. The role requires you to be comfortable working in a production environment, where you will be on your feet for extended periods and may need to perform physical work, including standing, bending, or lifting up to 50 pounds. While some experience in production or manufacturing is preferred, this role is 100% entry-level and comes with on-the-job training to help you succeed. The 1st shift schedules are as follows: overtime may be needed and is available, with shifts running Monday to Friday from 5 am to 1:30 pm or 6 am to 2 pm, and Monday to Thursday from 5 am to 3:30 pm. Requirements

  • Must be willing to work in a production environment with consistent work on your feet.
  • Must provide your own steel toed shoes (other PPE provided by JCI).
  • Perform physical work including standing, bending, or lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • While some experience in production or manufacturing is preferred, this role is 100% entry-level with on-the-job training.
