About the position

The Unit Manager, Outside Property is responsible for overseeing a team of Outside Property claim professionals, ensuring product quality and performance. This role involves guiding and mentoring staff, managing performance, and implementing effective training and development strategies. The position is remote but requires the manager to reside in or near specific territories. The manager will also focus on enhancing claim services, leveraging data for business strategies, and maintaining effective relationships with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Attract, retain, and develop world-class talent through proactive recruitment and effective onboarding.
  • Manage staff performance and implement strategies for staff development and training needs.
  • Provide compelling claim services by employing proper claim handling techniques and developing strategic file management plans.
  • Conduct quality file reviews and provide coaching through ride-along inspections with claim professionals.
  • Leverage data and technology to identify opportunities and support business strategies.
  • Focus on resolution and process improvement while managing costs and resources effectively.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, business partners, and customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of three years claim work experience in at least one line of business required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Claim management experience preferred.
