About the position

The Unit Manager, Outside Property at Travelers Insurance Company is responsible for overseeing a team of Outside Property claim professionals, ensuring product quality and performance. This role involves guiding and mentoring staff, managing performance, and implementing effective training and development strategies. The position is remote, requiring the manager to live in or around the designated territories, and focuses on enhancing claim services and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Proactively recruit and retain top talent for the team.
• Manage staff performance and implement development strategies.
• Conduct quality file reviews and provide coaching to claim professionals.
• Develop and execute strategic file management plans for optimal resolution.
• Leverage data and technology to support business strategies and improve results.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and business partners.
• Ensure compliance with state and Travelers requirements regarding insurance licenses.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of three years claim work experience in at least one line of business required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Claim management experience preferred.
