About the position

The Unit Manager - Production is responsible for overseeing all activities related to labeling and warehousing, including managing label-line production and training employees. This role involves planning, organizing, and controlling production operations while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage label-line production.
  • Implement procedural changes and coordinate special projects as needed.
  • Attend daily production meetings.
  • Communicate with customers regarding special needs and maintain inventory organization.
  • Plan, organize, and control label-line production and warehouse operations.
  • Forecast resources and activities in relation to company objectives.
  • Set and meet/exceed production targets.
  • Implement cost-reduction principles for label-line and warehouse activities.
  • Maintain label standards and ensure operational consistency across locations.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Control Coordinator.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, dead stock, goods age, consumption, and manpower.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels in the warehouse.
  • Reconcile monthly inventory balances and resolve variances.
  • Practice Good Manufacturing to ensure a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Eight to ten years' experience in labeling/warehouse management.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with HACCP regulations.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Exposure to supply chain, warehouse, and labeling.
