About the position
The Unit Manager - RN position involves providing high-quality, holistic nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards and healthcare regulations. The role includes leading and directing both licensed and non-professional staff in delivering direct resident care and support functions, ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining good public relations with residents and their families.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of the aging process and medical-surgical nursing care.
- Discuss resident's care plan and goals with the NARs, including progress toward attaining the goals.
- Maintain good public relations with residents, families, and visitors.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Assist the attending physician during visits to the resident, as needed.
Requirements
- Must be licensed to practice professional nursing according to the State of Minnesota Board of Nursing.
- Must have no current medical condition which interferes with ability to perform duties.
- Must be CPR certified.
