About the position

The Unit Program Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for administrative support programs within the Department of the Air Force. This role involves assisting the squadron commander/director in managing various administrative functions and acting as a liaison between military and civilian personnel offices. The position requires a strong understanding of organizational responsibilities and the ability to handle multiple administrative tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the commander/director in managing all administrative support program functions.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for mandated administrative support programs.
  • Act as a unit liaison to military and civilian personnel offices.
  • Perform clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
  • At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-05 level or equivalent in other pay systems.
  • Knowledge of organizational and functional responsibilities and operations.
  • Proficiency in various office automation software programs and tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cybersecurity liaison programs.
  • Familiarity with Government Travel Card (GTC) program and Defense Travel System (DTS) administration.
  • Knowledge of health care and fitness programs.
