About The Position
The Unit Secretary / Certified Nursing Assistant assists the nursing and medical staff by acting as receptionist, unit liaison, and secretary for the nursing unit. The US/CNA may provide patient care and perform selected nursing procedures as defined in the Patient Care Standards Manual Nursing Procedure Manual. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the US/CNA provides a support function to the nurse by coordinating special tasks and assisting where needed. The Unit Secretary / Certified Nursing Assistant collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care.
