Responsibilities

  • Assist the staff by performing clerical duties in the Operating Room.
  • Maintain and update patient records in a timely and orderly manner.
  • Acknowledge customers upon arrival to the unit and demonstrate an enthusiastic, friendly approach.
  • File and maintain patient records, files, and reports.
  • Use office equipment such as multi-line telephones, computer terminals, and printers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current American (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of clerical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to file and maintain patient records accurately.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous medical experience preferred.
  • Previous secretarial experience desirable.
