The Unit Secretary position at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital is a vital role within the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology unit, specifically on the 9 Children's floor. This specialized unit features 24 private rooms and caters to a diverse patient population, including those undergoing Blood and Marrow Transplant procedures and surgical overflow patients. As a Unit Secretary, you will perform essential receptionist and secretarial duties, ensuring the smooth operation of the unit. This includes maintaining confidential records, managing supplies and equipment according to hospital standards, and greeting and directing guests in a welcoming manner. You will also be responsible for computer data entry, scheduling tests and procedures, processing orders, and executing other related activities in a timely manner, adhering to unit and hospital standards. Your role is crucial in creating a supportive atmosphere for both patients and their families, as well as for the healthcare team. Requirements
