Our facilities include three behavioral health units, cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. The Haverhill campus features all private rooms, while the Methuen campus boasts a state-of-the-art catheterization suite and a Joint Center of Excellence recognized by Blue Cross Blue Shield for knee and hip replacement. As a Unit Secretary in a per diem capacity, you will play a vital role in the operation of the unit. Your responsibilities will include performing a variety of computer, clerical, and supply functions essential for the unit's smooth operation. You will be the key point of contact, managing written and verbal communications between unit personnel, physicians, ancillary services, patients, visitors, and families. This position requires you to act as a liaison, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the healthcare team. You will also provide direct patient care as part of a collaborative team and perform indirect patient care functions as needed. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary, reflecting the dynamic nature of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison between patient, hospital personnel, visitors, and ancillary departments.
  • Performs all clerical functions within the department.
  • Provides direct patient care as a member of a collaborative team.
  • Performs indirect patient care functions on the unit as a member of a collaborative team.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous two years' experience as a unit technician or related duties preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
