Responsibilities

  • Perform EKGs and phlebotomy procedures.
  • Clean and maintain medical equipment.
  • Stock patient rooms with necessary supplies.
  • Organize paperwork and manage secretarial duties.
  • Answer phone calls and page staff as needed.
  • Enter patient information into the medi-tech computer system.
  • Transport patients safely throughout the hospital.
  • Provide one-on-one sitting for patients when necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to the Patient and Family Centered Care Model.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant, EMT, or current Nursing Student who has completed Fundamentals of Nursing or equivalent med/surgical clinical rotation.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required.
  • Current Patient Care Assistant Certificate or EMT license required.
  • Experience as a medical technician or patient care assistant in an emergency setting preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, physically taxing environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills to set priorities and complete assigned work efficiently.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements.
  • Physical ability to push, transfer, and pull heavy loads throughout assigned shift.
