About the position

The position involves supporting the United States Postal Service (USPS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) by providing IT and business-related professionals to aid in various agency initiatives. This role is part of a pipeline for potential future opportunities, focusing on standardizing and transforming application and platform services across the agency. The incumbent will work alongside USPS OIG to help achieve mission success through technological solutions and support services.

Responsibilities

• Support USPS OIG in standardizing and transforming application and platform services.
• Provide IT and business-related professional services to aid in agency directorates and initiatives.
• Respond to Support Services Requirements (SSRs) for strategic positions and projects.
• Manage and operate the OIG IT infrastructure to support voice and data services across multiple sites.
• Develop and maintain custom .Net applications for the agency.
• Manage the OIG's data platform, architecture, and databases for organizational reporting and analytics.
• Conduct risk assessment and management for IT security.
• Provide essential support services through the Service Desk Team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience in software development, business analysis, and system administration.
• Ability to work with various IT and business-related technologies and solutions.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint Online.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL, SQL Server, and Synapse for data management.
• Knowledge of IT security practices and cloud security architecture.
