The Information Systems/Business Analyst I position at the College of Nursing is a full-time role under the general supervision of the Nursing Technology Center director. This position is crucial for supporting the College of Nursing through a variety of Information System related tasks. The primary responsibilities include providing technical consulting and training to users, as well as the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software. The role also encompasses the design and maintenance of voice and data networks, audio-visual support, and the upkeep of departmental websites. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that the technology needs of the College of Nursing are met efficiently and effectively. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for the setup, installation, and configuration of new computers and peripherals as part of the college's yearly hardware refresh. This includes the removal of existing employee hardware, assessing older systems for end-of-life status, and recording asset changes within the college's inventory control system. The analyst will also assist in planning and acquiring new computers to ensure that the college is equipped with the latest technology. Additionally, the analyst will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for all College of Nursing employee and facility computer hardware and software. This involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and updating existing hardware and software applications, as well as advising on the need for new or additional hardware and software for the college. Daily problem-solving of operational issues related to technology in education will also be a significant part of the role. The analyst will manage the inventory, tracking, reporting, and reservation of Nursing Technology managed assets, including computers, monitors, peripheral hardware, printers, LCD projectors, and laptops. Training faculty and staff on new software and hardware will also be part of the responsibilities, along with other duties essential to maintaining a quality, professional, responsive, and service-oriented Nursing Technology Center.
