The Program Coordinator I for the Psychiatry: Addiction Sciences Division at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) will play a crucial role in supporting the NIH funded educational training program known as Enhancing Diversity in Alcohol Research (EDAR). This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about contributing to the field of alcohol research and supporting doctoral psychology trainees. The coordinator will assist the Principal Investigator in various administrative tasks, ensuring that the program runs smoothly and effectively. This includes providing support to EDAR trainees, managing schedules, and tracking program-related data. The coordinator will also support the Principal Investigator's broader research initiatives, specifically the Family Recovery Research Program (FRRP). The role requires a proactive approach to program design and implementation, with a focus on enhancing the educational experience of trainees. The coordinator will be responsible for organizing weekly lectures, preparing materials for meetings, and coordinating recruitment and team-building activities at annual conferences. Additionally, the coordinator will track and monitor the academic and clinical activities of trainees, utilizing tools such as the RedCap program to create surveys and analyze data. Communication is key in this role, as the coordinator will provide guidance to trainees and mentors, represent the EDAR program across campus, and respond to inquiries in a professional manner. Moreover, the coordinator will manage the program's promotional content, including website and social media updates, and will handle procurement and contracting for necessary supplies and services. This position is ideal for someone with excellent organizational skills and a keen interest in program management within the field of addiction sciences.
