About the position

The Statistical Research Analyst III position at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is focused on data reporting, cleaning, analysis, and database management for ongoing studies within the CRRNC division. This role involves significant project management, statistical analysis, and collaboration with research teams to prepare data for publication and grant applications.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare data for public and non-public archival for multiple studies.
  • Data cleaning and merging for cross-sectional and longitudinal analyses.
  • Compile numerical data and run various statistical analyses as required by the projects.
  • Coordinate research teams and assist in writing research protocols.
  • Prepare reports on statistical methods and results of their application to data analysis projects.
  • Prepare analysis using Stata/SPSS/SAS and present data during team meetings.
  • Prepare publication quality figures and may be involved in writing manuscripts.
  • Organize, store, and retrieve data; design, implement, and support databases; ensure data integrity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator (PI) that contribute to grants/applications.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • One year of professional experience involving the collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of quantified data.
  • A master's degree in statistics may substitute for the required work experience.
