About the position

The Universal Banker III at OneLocal Bank in Plainville, MA, is responsible for providing comprehensive banking services to customers, including account management, transaction processing, and customer support. This role involves assisting the Business Development Team and Commercial Lenders in opening new business accounts, maintaining knowledge of banking products, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The position also includes training new staff and providing electronic banking assistance, all while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Business Development Team and Commercial Lenders to open new business accounts.
  • Process and track documents related to business account opening using DocuSign.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all banking products and services, keeping current with enhancements.
  • Open a variety of accounts using Business Process Manager Software, including checking, savings, and CDs.
  • Provide guidance to customers on IRA-related issues and process contributions, distributions, transfers, and rollovers.
  • Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
  • Assist branch management with questions and decisions regarding branch procedures.
  • Perform branch opening, closing, and vault cash management, including setting alarms.
  • Oversee the opening and closing of the cash vault, ATMs, and night deposit vault under dual control.
  • Balance teller totals and settle the branch, performing supervisory functions as needed.
  • Act as the primary trainer for new and existing Universal Bankers on bank policies and procedures.
  • Provide electronic banking assistance to customers, including password resets and login support.
  • Complete Currency Transaction Reports (CTR's) for transactions over $10,000 and identify fraudulent scenarios.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of banking experience and prior sales experience, preferably in a banking environment.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of bank products and services.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of BPM, Premier Teller/Navigator, and Instant Issue Advantage Debit Cards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with electronic banking systems and customer service.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations related to banking.
