About the position

The Universal Banker plays a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment while providing excellent customer service and identifying sales opportunities. This position is responsible for both teller operations and sales support, focusing on building consumer and business relationships, meeting sales goals, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and security measures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and support to clients.
  • Process financial service transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify referral opportunities and promote cross-selling of bank products and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients to support business development.
  • Meet and exceed defined sales goals for loans, deposits, and partner referrals.
  • Participate in regular sales and staff meetings to promote team goals.
  • Maintain security controls to protect sensitive information and the banking center.
  • Support daily operations including customer service and compliance with audit procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in banking, cash handling, sales, and customer service preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook 365 and various banking software programs.
  • Strong consumer lending skills and product knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to generate new financial relationships through outbound calling and internal business development.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
