About the position

The Universal Banker position at Truist involves providing exceptional client service while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining accurate records. The role requires cross-training to support sales and service activities, focusing on client outreach and relationship management. The banker will educate clients on digital banking solutions and ensure compliance with operational procedures and risk management policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients and conducting transactions.
• Educate clients on digital banking solutions to enhance their service experience.
• Support team sales processes through client outreach and identifying client needs.
• Understand and implement Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to deliver tailored solutions.
• Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
• Advance individual and product knowledge through training and meetings.
• Adhere to internal controls and operational procedures to ensure compliance.
• Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience.
• Six months of client relationship building or sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to master PC keyboard and software skills for branch automation.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel for temporary staffing needs as required.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours.

Nice-to-haves

• One year of client relationship building or sales experience.
• Knowledge of advanced branch transactions and risk management.
• Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients.
• General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
