About the position

The Universal Banker role at Red River Bank involves providing personalized banking services to customers by performing both Teller and Personal Banker duties. This position focuses on evaluating customer needs, opening new accounts, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations while delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate needs of potential customers and offer appropriate financial products and services.
• Prepare and compile new customer applications and information to open new accounts.
• Ensure completeness of all account documentation on new account set-up.
• Provide ongoing relationship servicing with current customers to maintain goodwill and gain additional business.
• Inform and advise customers of status or enhancements to current account productivity, and suggest resolutions on account disputes and other account activity.
• Respond to customer inquiries and requests regarding accounts.
• Coordinate and assist back office personnel in resolving credit problems, delinquent payment issues, and other related affairs.
• Promote and cross-sell other establishment products and services as appropriate to customer requirements.
• Assist in any other activity needed so that the branch meets customer needs efficiently.
• Generate new business to assist in meeting establishment profitability goals.
• Perform paying and receiving transactions satisfactorily and efficiently as a Teller.
• Meet teller balancing standards monthly as stated in the Teller Over & Short Policy.
• Deliver excellent service to all customers and perform additional duties within the banking center as needed.
• Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and examine checks for endorsements.
• Cash checks and pay out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
• Enter customers' transactions into the computer to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
• Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds and explain, promote, or sell products or services.
• Remove deposits from, and count and balance cash in, automated teller machines and night depository.
• Comply with all applicable banking regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Follow Red River Bank policies and procedures and attend or complete all required training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of five years banking experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent computer skills.
