This includes providing and maintaining the overall cash for the vault and teller unit, ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures, and performing various reporting tasks on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. In addition to cash management, the Universal Operations Specialist I is tasked with approving deposit and withdrawal transactions, verifying signatures and endorsements, and applying the appropriate cash and check handling levels of authority. The role also involves monitoring salesforce cases related to the processing of returned items and making decisions on uncollected and overdrafts as assigned, all while adhering to approved lending authority limits. The specialist will also perform all teller activities as required, demonstrating proficiency in opening both consumer and business accounts, and coaching team members on policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all bank regulations. The position requires a strong focus on customer service, as the specialist must be able to ask questions to understand customers' financial needs and introduce them to other bank team members when appropriate. The role demands a collaborative spirit, as the specialist will work closely with the branch manager to enhance customer advocacy effectiveness through feedback and coaching. The ability to stand for extended periods and work weekends as needed is also essential for this position.
