About the position

The University Aide - Administrative Assistant position at the Disability Resource Center (DRC) involves providing administrative support, supervising student staff, and managing various operations within the DRC. The role is essential for ensuring quality customer service and effective communication with students and faculty regarding accommodations and testing services. This position is part-time or full-time, with a pay rate of $23.96 per hour, and is expected to last between 2 to 5 months, starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating, scheduling, training, and supervising student front desk staff of the DRC.
  • Overseeing the customer service quality of daily interactions with students, instructors, and other stakeholders.
  • Managing the Accommodated Testing Program at the DRC, including test management in the AIM online system.
  • Communicating with faculty about accommodated exams and providing support when needed.
  • Managing the DRC facility and equipment, including tracking and ordering office supplies.
  • Monitoring and responding to inquiries within the general DRC Inbox.
  • Inputting DRC student information into the DRC specific Banner form.
  • Providing general office support and training to new staff in the DRC.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience providing administrative support in an office setting.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage and support students with a variety of marginalized identities.

Nice-to-haves

  • One year of experience providing supervision to others.
  • Experience providing administrative support in an office setting in higher education.
  • Experience working in a testing center.
  • Experience working in an office that provides support to people with disabilities.
