About the position

The Cybersecurity Consultant position at Booz Allen Hamilton is a critical role that focuses on enhancing the cybersecurity posture of our clients. As a Cybersecurity engineer, you will be responsible for conducting thorough testing and analysis to identify vulnerabilities and potential threat vectors within systems and networks. This involves developing exploits and engineering attack methodologies to better understand the risks our clients face. In this role, you will guide clients in understanding acceptable risk levels and availability, helping them to develop a strategic Cyber roadmap. Your expertise will be crucial in creating tailored solutions that enable clients to operate securely in a dynamic IT environment. You will collaborate closely with clients to minimize risks and implement effective cybersecurity measures, ensuring they are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of modern technology. Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing and analysis to identify vulnerabilities and potential threat vectors in systems and networks.
  • Develop exploits and engineer attack methodologies to understand cybersecurity risks.
  • Guide clients in understanding acceptable risk and availability.
  • Help develop a strategic Cyber roadmap for clients.
  • Create tailored cybersecurity solutions to enable secure operations in an evolving IT environment.

Requirements

  • Experience with cybersecurity analysis tools and techniques.
  • Experience with embedded programming languages, including C and C++, and scripting languages, including Python.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including secure coding standards and software development best practices.
  • Ability to research and provide recommendations on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree by Summer 2024.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of embedded systems concepts.
  • Ability to leverage expertise in technical writing and presentations.
  • Ability to review software source code against secure coding standards.
  • Ability to analyze documentation for potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Secret clearance.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ CE.
