Loyola University Chicago seeks applications for the position of Digital Services Librarian, a non-tenure track faculty role within the University Libraries. This position is pivotal in overseeing the digital services of the library, which includes managing the library's web presence, library management and discovery systems, and the institutional repository. The Digital Services Librarian will report directly to the Head of Library Systems and will play a crucial role in supporting digital scholarship and open access initiatives. This role also involves providing technical support for digital special collections, electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs), and other digital materials, both born-digital and retrospectively digitized. The Digital Services Librarian will lead the development and enhancement of digital library systems and applications to ensure effective delivery of library digital resources and services. This includes designing and developing the University Libraries' web presence, which serves as the central access point for library digital content and services. The librarian will also manage the administration of Loyola eCommons, the university's institutional repository, and collaborate with other stakeholders to develop user-centered digital services. Additionally, the position requires providing technology support for library digital resources and services, troubleshooting electronic resource access issues, and staying current with trends in web and digital library technologies. In this role, the librarian will supervise graduate student assistants as needed and may provide research support and instruction for no more than three hours per week.
