About the position

The Data Science Product Manager Internship at HCSC is a ten-week paid program designed for students enrolled in a Master's program in a quantitative or related field. Interns will engage in product management tasks related to data science projects aimed at improving healthcare access, affordability, and outcomes for members. This role emphasizes consultative and leadership skills, requiring interns to collaborate with data scientists and internal clients to enhance processes and deliver value to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Consult with internal clients to understand and enhance internal processes.
• Coordinate and prioritize work efforts of data scientists and data engineers.
• Ensure delivery of value to stakeholders through effective product management.
• Participate in hands-on projects that address real-world business problems.
• Engage in networking opportunities with company leaders and fellow interns.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Master's program in a Quantitative, Computational or related field.
• Previous healthcare, data science, or technology-related internship experience is preferred.
• Understanding of machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization practices.
• Prior exposure to machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization in a practical context is preferred.
• No more than 1-2 years' experience between bachelor's and master's degree.
• Graduation date between December 2025 - June 2026.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Availability to work 10 weeks during the summer (June 2025 - December 2026).
