About the position

The University Relations Recruiter at Marcus & Millichap is responsible for identifying, engaging, and recruiting prospective students to join the company. This role is crucial in promoting the company's programs, culture, and values to attract top talent. The recruiter collaborates closely with senior executives and regional managers to develop market-specific talent acquisition plans and builds strong relationships with commercial real estate investment sales agents. This position is highly visible and consultative, utilizing sourcing, influencing, and closing skills effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans in line with MMI's goals.
  • Represent MMI at educational fairs, community events, and other relevant events.
  • Host and organize office tours, information sessions, and recruitment events for prospective students or staff.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with universities.
  • Engage with Division Managers, Regional Manager, and the Talent Acquisition team to facilitate recruitment activities.
  • Maintain relationships with prospective students or candidates through regular follow-ups.
  • Guide prospective students or candidates through the application process, offering information on requirements and deadlines.
  • Evaluate applications, transcripts, and other relevant documents.
  • Collaborate with Regional Managers, OMs, and HR personnel to ensure seamless transition and onboarding.
  • Track and analyze recruitment data to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on recruitment activities, trends, and challenges.
  • Recommend changes or improvements based on data analysis.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in recruitment, higher education, and specific programs offered by the universities.
  • Attend professional development workshops, seminars, and conferences related to university recruitment.
  • Work closely with Division Managers, Regional Managers, and other departments, including marketing, to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with student services and other relevant departments to provide comprehensive information to prospective students or candidates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in college/university recruitment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and related software.
  • Ability to travel as needed for recruitment events.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
