Coriander Designs is seeking a skilled Commercial Upholstery Seamstress/Sewist to join their team in Woodinville, WA. This full-time position involves creating custom commercial furniture and millwork, focusing on transforming customer visions into reality. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, energetic, and passionate about their craft, contributing to a collaborative and respectful work environment.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and sew fabric for various types of commercial furniture, including chairs, sofas, and office seating.
• Perform alterations and repairs on existing furniture pieces as needed.
• Collaborate with designers and production teams to ensure accurate execution of design specifications.
• Maintain and operate sewing machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Keep detailed records of work completed and materials used.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a seamstress, preferably in a commercial furniture or upholstery setting.
• Proficiency in using industrial sewing machines and other related tools.
• Strong understanding of different types of fabrics and their properties.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in sewing.
• Ability to read and interpret design specifications and patterns.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle large pieces of fabric and furniture.
