About The Position

West Valley Christian School (WVCS) is seeking a Christian educator for a full time teaching position in our upper elementary school. We welcome you to prayerfully consider supporting the mission and core values of our school. Our faculty incorporates a Biblical worldview in all subject areas taught. Our faculty and staff attend a variety of like-minded evangelical churches and support the administration's efforts to education minds, inspire hearts and transform the lives of our students. We are currently to fill the position for a middle school English teacher.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit weekly and long range unit plans containing standards, critical thinking questions, lesson plans; assign lessons and review homework.
• Administer quarterly assessments consistently to evaluate pupil progress, record results, and discuss assessment results with parents to discuss progress.
• Evaluate student's performance using the application of technology and related software.
• Use data driven results for selecting best practices in the classroom.
