About the position
The Spanish Immersion History Faculty position at Redlands Christian School is designed for an educator who will instruct students in history subjects using Spanish as the medium of instruction. Responsibilities
- Instruct students in history subjects using Spanish, employing best practice teaching methods.
- Prepare course objectives and outlines following curriculum guidelines.
- Assign lessons and correct homework, quizzes, tests, and projects in a timely manner.
- Administer tests to evaluate student progress and communicate results to parents.
- Maintain discipline in the classroom and demonstrate effective classroom management skills.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and educational conferences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and support student needs.
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress and issues.
- Perform related duties such as lunch-time monitoring and small group leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in History or a related field.
- One to two years of related experience or training.
- Valid teaching credential or equivalent education and experience.
- Advanced-High+ proficiency in Spanish (C1 and above).
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to use technology, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
