About the position

The Full-time Customer Service Associate at The UPS Store is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to retail customers. This role involves processing packages for shipment, operating various office equipment, and providing accurate information about services and options to customers. The ideal candidate will possess retail sales experience, strong computer skills, and a friendly demeanor, contributing to a positive work environment and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly manner and determine their needs.
• Deliver exceptional customer service through engagement and quality product delivery.
• Be knowledgeable of products and services offered and promote them to customers.
• Operate copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, and other office machines safely and efficiently.
• Receive, sort, and place mail in mailboxes accurately.
• Record sales transactions completely and accurately in the Point of Sale system.
• Pack contents for shipping using established procedures and products.
• Receive and process packages for shipping, including lifting and weighing packages and generating labels.
• Assist in merchandising the store, including stocking shelves and ensuring a clean and orderly appearance of products.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior customer service experience in a retail setting is required.
• Point of Sale (POS) and computer experience highly desirable.
• Previous experience working in a UPS store is a plus.
