About the position

Cescaphe Event Group is seeking a full-time Upscale Event Manager & Planner to join our award-winning team in Philadelphia. This role is ideal for an experienced planner who thrives in a team environment and possesses a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating unforgettable events that celebrate our clients' most special life moments. With a salary range of $50,000 to $65,000, plus bonuses and client tips, this position offers a fantastic opportunity for those with a background in fine dining hospitality to expand their skills and knowledge in event planning. As the Event Manager, you will develop, oversee, and coordinate exquisite events, becoming the primary point of contact for clients on event days. You will lead a talented team of trained staff, ensuring excellent execution of events while collaborating with culinary and operations teams, as well as outside vendors. Your responsibilities will include managing paperwork, maintaining effective communication, and being flexible to perform additional duties as needed to meet business requirements. The role requires thorough collection of client information and effective communication with various departments to adhere to planning timelines. You will educate and guide clients in making decisions that enhance their events, ensuring all discussed items are accurately recorded and communicated. Additionally, you will oversee the setup and breakdown of events, maintain venue cleanliness, and provide feedback to the culinary team to ensure high standards of food service. Your decision-making skills will be crucial in high-pressure situations, and you will be expected to foster a welcoming environment for clients and guests, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the event process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, oversee, and coordinate exquisite events.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on event days.
  • Lead a team of trained staff to achieve excellent event execution.
  • Collaborate with culinary and operations teams to ensure successful event execution.
  • Handle paperwork and maintain effective communication with clients and departments.
  • Educate and guide clients in decisions that benefit their event.
  • Ensure all discussed items during event coordination are accurately recorded and communicated.
  • Direct the setup and breakdown of assigned events, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Oversee food service execution and provide feedback to maintain standards.
  • Make sound decisions in high-priority and stressful situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of related experience and training in event planning or fine dining hospitality.
  • RAMP Certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to work weekends as needed.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
