About the position

Heart Beet Gardening, LLC is seeking an Urban Farmer/Vegetable Gardener to join their team in Los Angeles. This full-time position involves designing, building, and maintaining organic vegetable gardens and orchards, contributing to the company's mission of connecting the community with sustainable food practices. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of professional gardening or farming experience and a passion for organic agriculture.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain organic vegetable gardens and orchards.
• Implement organic pest management and soil building strategies.
• Utilize crop rotation techniques for seasonality and soil health.
• Drive to multiple garden locations as required.
• Lift and move heavy materials such as soil bags and plants.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of professional gardening or farming experience.
• Comfortable with organic pest management and soil building strategies.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy items.
• Valid Driver's License and access to a car for transportation.
• Ability to work with humor and flexibility in gardening tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in landscaping (1 year preferred).
• Experience in farming (1 year preferred).
