About the position

The Urban Mobility Office is seeking a Business Operations Manager to oversee project controls and budget management for its multi-billion dollar Urban Mobility Strategy. This leadership role involves directing a team, establishing business standards, and ensuring effective management of the office's budget and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, monitor, and administer project controls for the Urban Mobility Strategy and office budget.
  • Lead a team of executive support specialists and project controls staff.
  • Establish business standards and practices for all programs within the office.
  • Direct budget planning efforts and monitor budget expenditures.
  • Provide strategic planning and oversight of the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
  • Manage the Contracts and Agreements Unit and oversee contract administration processes.
  • Coordinate responses to internal and external audits.
  • Oversee public records requests and advise on records management.

Requirements

  • Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; OR three years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

  • Experience developing, managing, and estimating budgets of business operations programs.
  • Experience in researching properties and administering lease agreements.
  • Skill in providing reports/dashboards that monitor project/program financial performance.
