About the position
The Urgent Care Medical Assistant (CCMA) at Evergreen Urgent Care is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a supportive and innovative environment. This role involves assisting with various medical procedures, performing tests, and ensuring patient follow-up, all while contributing to a patient-focused healthcare model.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for Urgent Care and Primary Care patients
- Take focused histories and vitals
- Perform point-of-care tests, phlebotomy, and vaccine administration
- Assist in procedures such as suturing and splinting
- Follow up with patients via phone or video to ensure they are feeling better
Requirements
- Valid Certified Medical Assistant certification
- Experience in an MA role
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Athena) and Google Workspace
- Comfortable caring for all ages
- Warm bedside manner
- Willingness to learn the business and operational aspects of healthcare
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Phlebotomy
- Bilingual fluency
