About the position

The Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner at Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care is responsible for providing high-quality urgent care services to both adult and pediatric patients. This role involves treating a variety of acute conditions, ensuring excellent patient assessment skills, and directing patients to emergency care when necessary. Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services for acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to recognize serious conditions and direct patients to emergency care when necessary.
• Deliver an unparalleled patient experience by going above and beyond in care.
• Work collaboratively with a team of board-certified Physicians and Advanced Practitioners.
• Utilize state-of-the-art facilities and integrated EMR systems for patient care.
• Participate in bonus programs based on patient visit metrics and satisfaction scores.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies required.
• NCCPA Certification for Physician Assistants or ANCC/AANP Certification for Nurse Practitioners required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent full-time experience in an Urgent Care, Primary Care, or Emergency Medicine setting required.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations required.
• Comfortable performing minor procedures such as sutures, casts, and splints required.
• Licensed in the state of Texas as a Nurse Practitioner (APRN or FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays.
• Ability to work flexible hours based on patient volume.
