About the position
This position is for a Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Urgent Care. The role involves providing clinical care in various outpatient settings across multiple locations in South Carolina. The NP/PA will work autonomously with the support of a supervising physician for escalation calls, covering a diverse patient demographic including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The coverage is needed ASAP and will continue on an ongoing basis, with flexible shift schedules.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care in outpatient settings across multiple facilities.
- Work autonomously while having access to a supervising physician for escalation calls.
- Perform various medical procedures including I&D, laceration repair, splinting, and wound care.
- Administer local anesthesia, ear irrigation, and foreign body removal as needed.
- Manage a patient volume of 20-70 per shift.
Requirements
- Active South Carolina License or IMLC.
- Board Certified (BC).
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Family Medicine, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings.
