About the position

The Urgent Care RN position at Vancouver Clinic involves providing high-quality nursing care in an urgent care setting. The role requires strong assessment and clinical skills to triage patients, manage communications, and perform various clinical procedures. The RN will work a full-time schedule from Wednesday to Saturday, with a focus on teamwork and independent functioning in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Using assessment skills to triage patients according to protocol
• Managing the RN in-basket for provider results, patient MyChart messages, and referrals
• Performing clinical skills such as IV insertion, urinary catheterization, ear lavage, EKG, sterile setup, injections, immunizations, point-of-care testing, swabbing, and phlebotomy
• Working independently and as part of a team, including wearing a mask as required
• Utilizing strong interpersonal skills for communication with departments, patients, and peers
• Applying critical thinking and time management skills to prioritize workflow

Requirements

• Active unencumbered Washington RN license or meeting multi-state licensure requirements
• Active unencumbered Oregon RN license within 60 days of hire or transfer
• Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) for Health Care Provider certification at time of hire
• Ability to work independently while functioning as a team member
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
