A well-established, reputable, and growing engineering and land planning firm is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their Engineering team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The primary role of the Civil Engineer will be to provide engineering design and leadership for private land development projects, contributing to the firm's commitment to quality and client satisfaction. In this position, the Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning and designing various development projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites. This includes tasks such as lot layout, grading, stormwater management, and utility design for both national and local land developers. The role requires close collaboration with other technical staff at Choice One Engineering to deliver comprehensive consulting engineering services. The Civil Engineer will also interact daily with project teams in a multi-disciplinary and multi-office environment, ensuring effective communication and project execution. The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. in Civil Engineering, EIT certification, and either a P.E. license or be in the process of obtaining one. With 5-15 years of experience in land development, the candidate should demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines. A continuous learning mindset and working proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D are preferred, as these skills will be essential in delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and design residential, commercial, and industrial development projects, including lot layout, grading, stormwater management, and utilities.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • EIT certification
  • P.E. license or in the process of obtaining P.E. license
  • 5-15 years experience in land development
  • Very responsive with a strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines
  • Continuous learning mindset
  • Working proficiency of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
