About the position

The Assistant Store Manager at Sally Beauty is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in overseeing store operations, leading associates, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. This role involves developing strategies to meet performance indicators and financial targets while maintaining brand standards. The Assistant Manager will take charge of daily operations, especially in the absence of the Store Manager, and will focus on team development, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the direction and planning of associates' daily goals and activities to maximize sales and customer loyalty.
  • Act as the main point of contact for resolving customer issues and concerns.
  • Engage, train, and develop team members to achieve positive results.
  • Manage inventory through ordering and shipment processing, ensuring compliance with company processes.
  • Ensure a safe store environment for associates and customers, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
  • At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Cosmetology license desirable, but not required.
