About the position

The Project Manager role based in Spring, TX, is responsible for managing a variety of small to medium-sized projects across business units. The position requires a strong background in project management, particularly in AI and machine learning, to ensure effective project delivery and alignment with strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Manages a variety of simultaneous small to medium size projects across business units.
• Supports strategic planning and drives synergy between goals, objectives, action plans, and projects.
• Manages project portfolio ensuring effective resource allocation, capacity planning, and risk management.
• Leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes, outcomes, and project management capabilities across the division.
• Applies project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems.
• Leads projects across R&D and business units managing the delivery of both technical capabilities and associated operational readiness.
• Manages the development of a prescribed planning document.
• Develops project charter and partners with sponsors to secure project approval.
• Develops communication management plan and defines project team roles and responsibilities.
• Develops work plan structure and project schedule, and leads project meetings.
• Identifies, documents, and prioritizes scope changes and facilitates approval process.
• Maintains and updates all project documents and secures the appropriate skill sets for the project.
• Sets and manages expectations with resource managers and team members, providing performance feedback.
• Maintains issue & tasks logs and facilitates resolution of issues.
• Executes communication plans and regularly reports status of projects.
• Manages and monitors ROI throughout the project lifecycle, tracks and manages time and budget against plan.
• Develops testing strategy and conducts project close-out activities, preparing for quality review checkpoints.

Requirements

• BA/BS in a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years professional project management experience, with at least 2 years leading and directing project tasks.
• Comprehension of AI PC, AI concepts, machine learning, data science, and related technologies.
• Skilled at analyzing data and identifying trends that inform project decisions and process improvements.
• Effective communication skills to facilitate collaboration across departments.
