About the position

The Video Support Specialist position is a critical role within the ODRC, focusing on the processing and scheduling of videoconference requests. This position requires an individual who is extremely well-rounded in managing videoconferencing operations, particularly in a hybrid work environment located in London, Ohio. The specialist will be responsible for handling a high volume of videoconference requests, having scheduled over 12,000 conferences in the past year alone. The role involves utilizing Microsoft Office 365 to manage communications and issues that arise via telephone and email, ensuring that all requests are processed efficiently and effectively. In addition to scheduling, the Video Support Specialist will assist with the day-to-day management of the multisite videoconferencing network. This includes providing analytical and troubleshooting support for video endpoints and fiber networks, as well as supporting conference room meetings and various types of video teleconferences, including point-to-point and multipoint (bridge) connections. The specialist will also be expected to provide limited audio/video support for management off-site activities, maintaining strict confidentiality for all videoconferencing activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in videoconferencing technologies, particularly with Polycom and Cisco infrastructure and endpoints. A preferred education level is a 4-year college degree, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role. This position is essential for ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across various sites, making it a vital part of the organization's operational success.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for video endpoints and fiber networks.

  • Experience with Cisco infrastructure and endpoints.
